Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.34% or 34.56 points to reach 10,068.7 points in Sunday’s early trades.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, most of the sectors dropped, with the exception of the consumer goods and services sector which rose 0.19% and the telecoms sector which inched up 0.01%.
The insurance sector declined 1%, followed by the industrials sector with 0.58% as Aamal, Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC), and Qatari Investors Group lost 2.03%, 1.79%, and 0.85%, respectively.
The banks sector shed 0.16% after Qatar Oman Investment Company decreased 1.53%, followed by the Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) with 0.64%, and Qatar National Bank (QNB) with 0.43%.
Qatari German for Medical Devices was the worst performer with a 2.33% drop, whereas Islamic Holding Group led risers with a 2.81% gain.
Liquidity reached QAR 14.61 million, after 795,130 shares exchanged, through 369 transactions.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 458,340 shares, at a value of QAR 4.15 million.
