Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday in the red zone, falling 0.41% or 41.54 points to reach 10,103.35 points.
All the sectors dropped, topped by the real estate sector as Mazaya Qatar and Ezdan Holding declined 1.30% and 1.26%, respectively.
The telecoms sector decreased 0.73% after Vodafone Qatar went down 2.61% and Ooredoo lost 0.37%.
The banks sector levelled down 0.38% as National Leasing Holding (Alijarah), Qatar First Bank (QFB), Al Khalij Commercial Bank, and Qatar Oman Investment Company tumbled 2.33%, 2.18%, 1.38%, and 1.08%, respectively.
The transportation sector shed 0.3%, while the industrials sector lost 0.27% as Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) decreased 1.49%, followed by Industries Qatar with 0.97%, and Gulf International Services with 0.46%.
Traded volume dropped to 8.61 million shares on Thursday against 9.33 million shares on Wednesday, while liquidity declined to QAR 174.55 million from QAR 226.2 million.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock was the most active stock in terms of trading volume with 4 million shares exchanged at a value of QAR 35.95 million.
Earlier on Thursday, the main index slipped 0.42%, reaching 10,102.67 points.
