Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Sunday 0.49% or 49.34 points lower to reach 10,061.15 points on the back of a collective decline of its sectors.
The real estate sector led losers, falling 0.81% as Ezdan Holding Group, Mazaya Qatar for Real Estate Development, and United Development Company decreased 1.2%, 0.81%, and 0.26%, respectively.
The banks sector declined 0.57% after Qatar National Bank (QNB) went down 1.27%, followed by Qatar Oman Investment Company with 1.07%, Islamic Holding Group with 0.96%, and Doha Bank with 0.94%.
The transportation sector levelled down 0.46%, while the consumer goods and services sector shed 0.43% as Medicare Group and Al Meera Consumer Goods Company decreased 1.55% and 0.58%, respectively.
Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) was the worst performer with 2.31%, whereas Vodafone Qatar led rising stocks with 2.61%.
Traded volume dropped to 9.3 million shares on Sunday against 11.96 million on Thursday, while liquidity declined to QAR 205.88 million against QAR 327.32 million.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume with 4.07 million shares exchanged at a turnover of QAR 37.57 million.
Earlier on Sunday, the main index edged down 0.08% reaching 10,102.66 points.
