QSE slides 95.22 pts at Sunday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) decreased 1.03% or 95.22 points to reach 9,142.46 points in Sunday’s early trades.

By 9:49 am Qatar time, most of the sectors fell, with the exception of the insurance sector which rose 0.18%.

The industrial sector went down 1.11% as Gulf International Services retreated 3.49%, followed by Qatar National Cement Company with 2.55%, and Aamal with 2.5%.

The consumer goods and services sector dropped 1.07%, while the banks sector declined 1% after Masraf Al Rayan, Islamic Holding Group, and National Leasing Holding (Alijarah) levelled down 3.05%, 1.72%, and 1.46%, respectively.

Traded volume reached 1.43 million shares with a liquidity of QAR 29.35 million.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume with 258,050 shares exchanged, while Masraf Al Rayan’s stock led in terms of trading value with a turnover of QAR 6.95 million.
