Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index declined 3.09 points, or 0.03%, to close at 10,719.40 points on Wednesday.
The QSE’s liquidity plunged to QAR 215.76 million on Wednesday, from QAR 354.74 million in the previous session, while trading volume retreated to 6.69 million shares, against 10.53 million on Tuesday.
The real estate sector fell 0.31% after Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development declined 1.07%.
Meanwhile, the industrials sector tumbled 0.16%, led by Aamal which slid 1.72%.
The banking sector slipped 0.06%, as Ahli Bank dipped 1.82%, leading losers, whereas Islamic Holding Group soared 6.09%.
On the other hand, the transportation sector was the only gainer with 1.31% after Qatar Gas Transport and Gulf Warehousing added 2.30% and 0.93%, respectively.
The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, unchanged at QAR 198, topped the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 40.4 million, while United Development’s stock, up 0.24%, registered the highest trading volume of 1.3 million shares.
