Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday with a negative performance after its benchmark slumped 113 points, or 1.09%, to 10,188.15 points.
By 9:40 am Qatar time, the QSE’s trading volume reached 298,100 shares exchanged through 198 transactions at a turnover of QAR 5.64 million.
The bank and financial services sector led losers with 2.12%, followed by the telecommunication sector with 1%.
Widam Food Company’s stock was the worst performer with 4.8%, whereas Qatari German for Medical Devices’ (QG Medical) stock was the best performer with 2.13%.
Qatar Navigation’s (Milaha) stock, which remained stable at QAR 71.05, led the bourse in terms of traded value after generating QAR 1.06 million, while Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, down 1.4%, generated the highest trading volume after 107,070 shares were exchanged.
