Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session with negative performance after its main index plunged 73.3 points, or 0.7%, to 10,423.09 points.
By 10 am Qatar time, the real estate sector led losers with 1.52%, followed by the industrials sector with 0.9%, while the insurance sector shed 0.02%.
Qatari German for Medical Devices’ (QG Medical) stock was the worst performer after losing 3.4%, while the stock of Qatar Aluminums Manufacturing Company (QAMCO) was the best performer after gaining 7.04%.
The bourse saw trading of 6.7 million shares exchanged through 3,145 transactions at a turnover of QAR 100.72 million.
QAMCO’s stock topped the market in terms of both trading volume and value after 5.8 million shares were exchanged through 2,676 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 83.7 million.
