Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday in the green zone, after gaining 1.04% or 94.53 points, reaching 9,189.98 points.
The sectors rose collectively, led by the real estate sector with 5.15% as Ezdan Holding Group surged 7.08% and Mazaya Qatar grew 4.18%.
The consumer goods and services sector increased 3.1%, and the telecoms sector went up 2.61% after Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo levelled up 3.31% and 2.48%, respectively.
The banks sector gained 0.71% and the industrials sector grew 0.83%.
Trading volume rose to 16.32 million shares on Wednesday against 13.61 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity increased to QAR 349.94 million from QAR 268.94 million.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of traded volume with 5.96 million shares exchanged, while Ezdan’s stock was the most active in terms of trading value with a turnover of QAR 52.02 million.
Earlier on Wednesday, the benchmark index gained 0.22% or 20.1 points to reach 9,115.55 points.
