Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Monday’s trading session in red territory, dragged by the drop of five sectors.
By 09:40 am Qatar time, the main index fell 57.37 points, or 0.56 %, to 10,275.40 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 12.27 million after 828,010 shares were traded through 666 transactions.
The banking sector topped the decliners falling 1% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) went down 1.44%, followed by the industrial sector with 0.39% after Qatari Investors Group dropped 2.03%.
On the other hand, the goods and services sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.05% as Zad Holding Group and Medicare Group rose 1% and 0.63%, respectively.
QAMCO’s stock, which levelled up 0.35%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 675,100 shares, generating QAR 9.8 million in liquidity.
