Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Monday’s trading session in negative territory, dragged by the fall of all sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index declined 0.96% to 9,675.50 points, losing 93.04 points.
The bourse’s turnover amounted to QAR 20.6 million after 520,400 shares were traded through 438 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.48% as Ezdan Holding Group and Barwa Real Estate Development retreated 2.13% and 0.84%, respectively.
Similarly, the banking sector levelled down 1.06% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) declined 1.42%.
QNB’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 4.9 million, while Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, which plunged 1.09%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 186,900 shares.
