Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Monday’s trading session in the green, boosted by three sectors.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.15% to 10,312.20 points, adding 15.14 points.
The bourse’s turnover amounted to QAR 42.3 million after 975,300 shares were traded through 528 transactions.
The telecommunication topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.11% as the blue-chip stocks of Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo grew 1.88% and 0.65%, respectively.
Similarly, the industrial sector rose 0.50% after Industries Qatar levelled up 1.03%.
On the negative side, the banking sector headed the bourse’s four losers falling 0.60% due to the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s 1.47% drop.
Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, which plunged 0.85%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 22.04 million, while Doha Bank’s stock, which inched up 0.30%, generated the highest trading volume with 237,270 shares.
