Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Monday’s trading session down, dragged by the drop of the banking sector.
By 09:55 am Qatar time, the main index fell 21.7 points, or 0.24%, to 9,118.47 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 75.04 million after 3.31 million shares were exchanged through 920 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.3%, while the goods sector headed the market’s gainers adding 1.5%.
Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development’s stock topped the decliners losing 3.5%, while Qatar Fuel’s stock led the risers gaining 2.71%.
Mesaieed’s stock, which inched up 0.06%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 1.55 million shares, generating QAR 27.39 million in a liquidity.
