QSE starts Sunday in decline

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading session down, dragged down by six sectors.

By 09:45 am Qatar time, the main index fell 0.30 %, or 29.71 points, to reach 9,751.47 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 17.64 million after 598,050 shares were traded through 436 transactions.

The transportation sector topped losers with 1.57% as Nakilt went down 2.85%, while the banking sector plunged 0.21% on the back of Doha Bank’s 3.36% drop.

On the other hand, the real estate sector was the market’s only gainer adding 0.09% as Mazaya Real Estate and Ezdan Holding grew 0.71% and 0.32%, respectively.

Doha Bank’s led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 290,400 shares, generating QAR 5.6 million in liquidity.
