Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Thursday’s trading session in decline, pressured by the drop of four sectors.
By 09:55 am Qatar time, the main index fell 20.08 points, or 0.25 %, to 10,407.90 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 7.3 million after 336,800 shares were traded through 205 transactions.
The transportation sector topped the losers falling 0.73% as Qatar Gas Transport (Nakilat) declined 1.40%, while the banking sector plunged 0.47% on the back of the Commercial Bank of Qatar’s (CBQ) 2.15% drop.
Meanwhile, the goods and services sector headed risers adding 0.88% due to Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) 1.49% increase, while the telecommunication sector inched up 0.16% as Ooredoo levelled up 0.52%.
Doha Bank’s stock, which plunged 0.93%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 95,300 shares, generating QAR 2.05 million in liquidity.
