QSE starts Thursday down

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading with negative performance, dragged by the fall of the real estate and industry sectors.

By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index went down 0.2% to 10,259.49 points, losing 21 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 20.11 million after 1.1 million shares traded through 847 transactions.

The real estate sector topped the losers falling 1.26%, followed by the industrial sector with 0.45%.

Meanwhile, the telecommunication sector headed the gainers adding 1.3%.

QAMCO’s stock, which rose 0.7%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 435,260 shares, generating QAR 5.71 million in liquidity.
