Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session down, pressured by the drop of the banking, industrial, and transportation sectors.
By 10:10 am Qatar time, the main index fell 0.10%, or 10.97 points, to reach 10,524.16 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 29.3 million after 1.1 million shares were traded through 856 transactions.
The banking sector topped the decliners falling 0.53% due to Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) 0.95% drop.
Meanwhile, the goods and services sector headed the gainers, adding 1.17% as Qatar Fuel (WOQOD) and Al Meera Consumer Goods grew 2.07% and 0.34%, respectively.
WOQOD’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 13.7 million, while QAMCO’s stock, which fell 0.76%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 308,800 shares.
