QSE starts Thursday on positive note

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Thursday's trading session in positive territory, boosted by the growth of six sectors.  

By 9:50 am Qatar time, the main index rose 13.71 points, or 0.15%, to 8,942.45 points.

The bourse’s trading volume reached 562,190 shares exchanged at a turnover of QAR 10.92 million through 298 transactions.

The real estate sector increased 1.39% as Ezdan Holding Group’s stock grew 2.50%, while the consumer goods and services sector levelled up 0.32% after Al Meera Consumer Goods Company’s stock went up 1.19%.

The banks and financial services sector inched up 0.08% as Qatar Oman Investment’s stock edged up 0.49%.

On the other hand, the industrials sector fell 0.20% after Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock dropped 1.33%.

Qatar Navigation’s (Milaha) stock led risers with 3.01%, whereas Dlala Brokerage Investment Holding’s stock was the worst performer with 2.06%.

Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which declined 0.58%, topped trading volume activities after 139,600 shares were exchanged, while Ooredoo’s stock, that rose 1.68%, was the most active in terms of liquidity after generating QAR 1.9 million.
