Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of six sectors.
By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 14.08 points, or 0.13%, to 8,901.38 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 34.17 million after 2.87 million shares changed hands through 838 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 2.17%, backed by Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development which increased 3.99% and 0.92%, respectively.
Similarly, the industrial sector rose 0.42% as Gulf International levelled up 2.78%, while the banking sector inched up 0.14% after National Leasing Holding advanced 2.36%.
On the other hand, the goods sector topped the bourses’ losers falling 0.19%, draged down by Al Mannai’s 2.25% drop.
Vodafone Qatar led the market in terms of trading volume with 1.9 million shares, generating QAR 17.3%.
