Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Tuesday’s trading session in the red, dragged by the fall of the banking, industrial and transportation sectors.
By 10:05 am Qatar time, the general index fell 0.16% to 10,477.23 points, losing 17.13 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 52.15 million after 5.84 million shares were traded through 1,740 transactions.
The banking sector topped decliners with 0.55% as Qatar Oman Investment went down 2.70%. The industrial sector plunged 0.11% as Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding levelled down 0.85%.
On the other hand, the goods and services sector headed gainers adding 0.74% on the back of Zad Holding’s 7.69% jump.
Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which decreased by 0.23%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 1.97 million shares, while Investment Holding Group’s stock, which rose 4.17%, posted the highest liquidity with QAR 9.63 million.
