Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Tuesday’s trading session in the red after its benchmark went down 0.07%, or 7.16 points, to 10,444.17 points.
By 9:55 am Qatar Time, the QSE saw trading of 720,500 shares exchanged through 409 deals with a turnover of QAR 18.5 million.
The consumer goods and services sector led losers with 0.31% as Al Meera Consumer Goods’ stock fell 2.57%, while Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock inched down 0.12%.
The industrial sector shed 0.27% after Investment Holding Group’s stock decreased 0.75%.
On the other hand, the transportation sector levelled up 0.66% as Qatar Gas Transport’s (Nakilat) stock rose 1.36%.
Qatar Islamic Insurance Company’s (QISI) stock was the worst performer after losing 3.53%, whereas Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock was the best performer after growing 2.10%.
Industries Qatar’s stock, which dipped 0.66%, topped the bourse in terms of liquidity after generating QAR 4.1 million, while Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock generated the highest traded volume with 191,900 exchanged shares.
