Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 0.42% or 43.66 points to reach 10,448.86 points by 9:50am Doha time on Tuesday.
Blue chips backed the market, including Qatar National Bank and Ezdan which gained 0.97% and 0.29% respectively.
The telecom sector levelled up 1.09% to top six gainers, on the back of Ooredoo which rose 1.89% posting the highest liquidity of QAR 1.49 million.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock on which about 135,080 shares were traded. The stock went up 0.83%.
QSE’s banks sector levelled up, backed by seven stocks that were topped by Qatar and Oman Investment which went up 2.06%.
The market’s liquidity stood at about QAR 39,410 after nearly 652,150 shares were traded.
