Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of six sectors.
By 10:00 Qatar time, the general index rose 0.75%, or 63.44 points to 8,516.62 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 17.8 million after 1.2 million shares traded through 467 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 0.95% as the Commercial Bank and Qatar National Bank (QNB) went up 2.9% and 0.84%, respectively.
The real estate sector inched up 0.4% as Barwa Real Estate levelled up 1%, while the industrial sector increased 0.23% on the back of Industries Qatar’s 0.31% rise.
Meanwhile, the goods sector was the bourse’s only decliner losing 0.18% as Al Meera and Salam International went down 2.57% and 0.68%, respectively.
Aamal’s stock, which increased 0.42%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 512,900 shares, generating QAR 4.9 million.
