Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session with negative performance, dragged by the fall of six sectors.
By 10:05 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.14% to 10,707.33 points, losing 15.16 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 14.92 million after 1.05 million shares traded through 616 transactions.
The banking sector topped the losers falling 0.24% on the back of the Commercial Bank of Qatar’s (CBQ) 0.71% drop, while the industrial sector inched down 0.03% as Mesaieed Petrochemical went down 0.82%.
United Development Company’s stock, which advanced 0.60%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.45 million, while Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which stood at 4.09%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 386,310 shares.
