Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session 0.46% or 48.88 points higher, reaching 10,751 points by 10:05am Doha time.
Blue chips supported the market’s rise, with Ezdan, Al Rayan, and NBQ rising 1.71%, 1.25%, and 0.86%, respectively.
The real estate segment topped six gainers with 1.12% on the back of Ezdan, which on Tuesday disclosed a growth of 12.5% in profits to QAR 1.81 billion.
Meanwhile, the goods sector was the only decliner with a fall of 0.31%, dragged by Mannai and Qatar Fuel which lost 2.33% and 0.12%, respectively.
The QSE’s turnover amounted to QAR 34.6 million as around 864,500 shares were traded through 659,000 transactions.
Alijarah was the most active stock on which about 249,500 shares were traded, rising 0.86%.
Qatar Industrial recorded the highest trading value, totalling QAR 4.6 million.
