Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session in positive territory, supported by the increase of four sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.24% to 9,954.80 points, adding 23.73 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 24.7 million after 981,200 shares were traded through 529 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.56% after United Development Company grew 1.24%.
Similarly, the banking sector levelled up 0.29% on the back of Qatar International Islamic Bank’s (QIIB) 3.52% jump.
On the other hand, the insurance sector headed the bourse’s decliners falling 0.59% as Doha Insurance plunged 7.92%.
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, which advanced 2.4%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 204,600 shares, while QIIB’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 9.6 million.
