Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a negative performance, weighed down by the fall of four sectors topped by the banks.
The main index retreated 0.96% or 105.06 points to reach 10,884.70 points.
The banks sectors led losers with a 1.51% decline as Masraf Al Rayan and Qatar National Bank (QNB) lost 3.4% and 1.35% respectively.
On the other hand, the transportation sector was the best performer after adding 0.31%, backed by Qatar Gas Transport Co. (Nakilat) which gained 0.61%.
Turnover stood at QAR 148.41 million on Sunday, compared to QAR 306.49 million last Thursday. Trading volume reached 4.42 million shares, compared to 9.03 million shares.
Vodafone Qatar, which fell 0.10%, was the most active stock after trading 821,430 shares. Qatar Fuel (Woqod), which went down 0.68%, was the value leader after generating QAR 13.6 million.
