Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari bourse will regain its healthy trend in the forthcoming period, as the market is stable thanks to recent stimulating attempts by the regulator, which should help in driving the much-needed foreign investment to flow back in, according to financial analyst Saeed Al-Suleimany.
Al-Suleimany explained to Mubasher his bullish forecast, despite yesterday’s disappointing start, saying that he has confidence in the market’s fundamentals and citing fresh catalysts including the new margin trading mechanism which he hoped will rejuvenate the bourse.
He added “Despite its modest losses, yesterday’s session gave positive technical indicators that the QSE can continue the bull-run it began late 2015, if the liquidity gap is bridged, something that is dependent on whether foreign investors and portfolios will return.”
The bourse’s main index closed Sunday with a decline of 1.11% or 115.62 points to the level of 10,313.74 points.
