Doha - Mubasher: The Qatari bourse’s main index is expected to regain strength and break the level of 10,400 points, as the market recovered the confidence of investors and shareholders, according to financial analyst and economic advisor Saied Al-Suleimany.
Al-Suleimany said, in a statement to Mubasher on Sunday, that cash and stock dividends distributions will drive the index to the green territory. “Many companies made better performance in previous years, so, they are expected to issue lucrative dividends,” he added.
Al-Suleimany also suggested that the margin trading mechanism, to be applied this year, will have a positive impact on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) in terms of increasing trading value, thus, bringing in more liquidity to the market.
The QSE’s benchmark index closed Thursday lower 0.06% or about 6.31 points to the level of 10,429.36 points.
