Mubasher: Qatar's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy announced implementing a joint venture with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to deliver the 2022 World Cup which will be held in the GCC nation.
The announcement came during the first board meeting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC, according to a statement released by the Qatari committee on Tuesday.
The Qatari world cup organising committee currently shifts its “focus from delivering stadiums, training pitches and the transportation required for 2022, to fan and player experience and event operations,” Qatar-based joint venture’s chairman Hassan Al Thawadi stated.
It is worth mentioning that some of Qatar's neighbouring countries including Kuwait have not yet taken a decision concerning co-hosting the World Cup 2022 with Doha.
