Mubasher: The Qatar Chamber (QC) on Tuesday met with a Kuwaiti commercial and industrial delegation to discuss the possibility of establishing a joint business council and opening a representative office for Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry in the QC.
Held at the QC, the meeting addressed the possibility of setting up a permanent exhibition for Kuwaiti industries in Qatar, according to a statement released by the QC.
Bilateral trade between Kuwait and Qatar surged by 12% to QAR 2.8 billion ($700 million) during the first nine months of 2018, QC’s first vice chairman said.
In 2017, Qatar was the largest investor in Kuwait with $4.11 billion, according to a survey by Kuwait’s Central Statistical Bureau.
