Mubasher: Trade exchange between Qatar and Turkey jumped 49% to exceed QAR 7 billion ($1.65 billion) in 2018, the undersecretary of the Qatari ministry of commerce and industry announced.
The bilateral trade growth reflects the strong relations between both nations, Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater said on the sidelines of the third edition of Turkey Expo Qatar exhibition on Wednesday.
Investments of Turkish companies in Qatar amounted to $16 billion, while the volume of Qatari investments in Turkey reached $20 billion.
Qatar ranked the second largest country in terms of foreign investments in Turkey.
The number of Turkish companies operating in Qatar with Qatari-Turkish capital reached 242 companies, while the number of wholly-owned Turkish companies working in Qatar amounted to 26 companies.
