Mubasher: Qatar Airways plans to add more than 320 aircraft worth over $88 billion to its fleet, the CEO of the state-run carrier said.
Qatar’s flagship airline increased the number of its destinations by 25, raising its fleet to 230 aircraft in 2018, Akbar Al Baker added at the CAPA Qatar Aviation Aeropolitical and Regulatory Summit held in Doha.
As part of its expansion plans, Qatar Airways announced last month acquiring a 5% stake of the total issued share capital of China Southern Airlines, he noted.
Qatar Airways also serves above 160 destinations and employs more than 46,000 staff.
