Mubasher: Qatar Airways on Monday said that it will start its flights to Malta’s capital Valletta as of 4 June 2019.
The Qatari state-run carrier will launch a flight per day during summer, while it will make four weekly flights in winter with an Airbus A320 aircraft, according to a statement.
Adding Malta to Qatar Airways’ destinations is part of the airline’s expansion plan in Europe, along with providing various choices for passengers, CEO Akbar Al Baker commented.
On Sunday, the Qatari company announced that it started its first flight to the second destination, Mombasa, in Kenya to be the first carrier in the Middle East to launch direct flights to the African city.
The Qatari carrier is currently operating a fleet of more than 200 jets which are having flights to over 160 global destinations
