Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Navigation’s net profit for the second quarter of 2016 fell 29.7% to QAR 201 million ($55.15 million) from QAR 286 million ($78.5 million), according to a bourse filing.
During the first six months, the company earned QAR 553 million, down 15.1% year-over-year from QAR 651 million.
Return on equity declined to QAR 4.86 during the first half, compared with QAR 5.73 for the year-ago period.
In the first quarter, net profits slipped 3.6% year-over-year to QAR 352 million from QAR 365 million.
