Doha – Mubasher: Shareholders of Qatar Oman Investment Company gave a nod on Sunday to the board's proposal for paying out cash dividends at 6% of capital, or QAR 0.60 per share.

During ordinary and extraordinary general meetings, shareholders endorsed the balance sheet and profit/loss statement for the fiscal year 2015.

The company's FY15 net profit amounted to QAR 18.3 million, down 29.3% year-on-year from QAR 25.9 million.

Chairman Abdulrahman Al Thani said his company's strategy would focus on entering into fast-yield investments like shares and leased properties, in addition to venturing into small and medium-sized industries and sharing into capital of companies.

Such investments will be located in Qatar and Sultanate of Oman in particular and across the GCC states in general, according to the chairman.
