Qatar c.bank invites bidders to QAR 1.5bn T-bills auction

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar central bank (QCB) invited banks to bid for treasury bills worth QAR 1.5 billion ($412 million) in auction to be held Monday, Reuters reported.

Adel Bakr, QCB’s Assistant Director for Public Debt and Banking Affairs, told Reuters that the central bank may sell more than the $412 million worth of treasury bills, if the auction is oversubscribed.  

The bills will be sold in three-, six- and nine-month tranches, and results will be revealed on Tuesday.
