Mubasher: Qatar Central Bank raised key interest rates on Thursday in response to the US Fed decision to hike policy rates by 25 points, said Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The lending rate rose by 0.25% to 4.5% from 4.75%, while the deposit rate increased to 1% from 0.75%, QNA added.
Qatar thus joined a group of GCC countries that moved up key policy rates after the US Fed’s decision, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
