Mubasher: Qatari economy is expected to achieve a growth of 2.6% this year to hit 3% by 2019, Qatar's finance minister Ali Shareef Al Emadi has said.
Qatar will be at pains to achieve the highest growth rate in the region, Al Emadi added.
The minister forecasted that the private sector of the world's top liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter is to fulfill a growth of 4% during the current year.
It is noteworthy that Qatar will finish 90% of the World Cup 2022’s preparations by 2019.
Since 5 June 2017, Qatar has been facing outflows of foreign customers' deposits after four Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia cut their diplomatic and trade ties with the gas-rich state, accusing Qatar of financing terrorism. Doha forcefully denied the charges.
