Qatar exchange opens in red

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Tuesday on a negative note, as it fell 0.1% or 10.3 points to the level of 10,434.63 points.

Meanwhile, the All Share Index rose 0.2% or 6.71 points to 2,853.72 points, and Al Rayan Islamic Index advanced 0.4% or 14.87 points to 3,959.15 points.

Trading volume reached 1.88 million shares through 962 transactions. Turnover came to QAR 63.84 million ($17.53 million).

National Leasing Holding Company (Alijarah) was the worst performing share as it dropped 1.5%, whereas Gulf Warehousing topped gainers by adding 9.8%.

Qatari German for Medical Devices dominated in terms of volume with 648,610 traded shares, while Masraf Al Rayan made the highest value with liquidity of QAR 14.76 million ($4.05 million).

The bourse’s main index rose yesterday by 0.29% or 30.28 points to the level of 10,444.93 points.
