Qatar – Mubasher: The GCC countries took the third position in terms of trade with Qatar with 9.4% and 16.2% of the oil-rich state's total exports and imports respectively, according to the quarterly report issued by the Ministry of Planning.
The UAE took the leading position as Qatar's trade partner, as Qatari exports to the UAE reached QAR 4.7 billion, or 6.9% of total exports, while imports from the UAE reached QAR 2.5 billion, or 8.8% of total imports.
Kuwait came second with QAR 800 million worth of exports, or 1.1%, followed by Saudi Arabia with QAR 600 million, or 0.8%.
Imports from Saudi Arabia amounted to QAR 1.2 billion, or 4.2% of total imports. Bahrain accounted for QAR 0.4 billion, or 1.4%, of total imports.
