Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Thursday’s trading in red as its main index declined by 1.3% or 134.86 points to the level of 10,224.13 points.
Trading volume increased to 11.08 million shares from 8.82 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also rose to QAR 2.08 billion from QAR 239.31 million.
The bourse’s sectors declined collectively, topped by the insurance sector after falling by 3.6% as Qatar General Insurance, down 6.8%, was the worst performing stock.
The telecom sector dropped 1.44% due to a fall of 1.6% and 0.74% in Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar.
The real estate sector retreated 1.36% as Barwa Real Estate declined 1.85% and Ezdan fell 1.8%.
The banking sector lost 0.80%, dragged by the drop in the Commercial Bank of Qatar by 3.4%.
Qatar First Bank led the trading activity with a volume of 3.52 million shares exchanged at QAR 36.64 million.
