Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined at Monday’s close by 1.26% or 136.87 points to the level of 10,747.83 points.
Trading volume increased to 6.16 million shares from 4.42 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose to QAR 183.26 million from QAR 148.41 million.
The index was pressured by the fall in some blue chips as QNB, Ezdan and Industries Qatar fell 1.37%, 1.16% and 0.93% respectively.
The bourse’s sectors retreated collectively, topped by the insurance sector with a 2.72% decrease, followd by the telecom (-2.19%) and the banking sectors (-.123%).
Qatar Insurance headed losers after falling 3.09%, while Dlala Holding topped gainers after adding 1.22%.
Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with 2.13 million shares, whereas Commercial Bank of Qatar made the highest turnover of QAR 24.4 million.
