Mubasher: Qatar's investments in the US amounted to $45 billion over the last two years, said Ryan Gliha, Charge' d' Affaires, ad interim of the US Embassy in Doha.
The world’s biggest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has pumped its investments in the US through the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Gliha added in an interview with Qatar TV.
The top official noted that the US will establish a number of universities in Qatar in the coming few years.
The world's richest country per capita invested around $30 billion in different fields in the US over the last three years, Qatar's finance minister Ali al-Emadi said.
