Mubasher: Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) on Tuesday announced that prime minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani has launched the Qatar National Development Framework (QNDF) to encourage economic growth.
The plan will support Qatar Vision 2030 and enhance urban growth in the future, the ministry said in a statement.
The new urban framework was prepared to include a comprehensive set of strategies, policies, guidelines, and policy actions, all meant to ensure a high standard of living for the Qatari community, stated municipality and environment minister Mohammad Bin Abdullah Bin Mitaab Al-Rumaihi.
These plans and policies will guide urban development in Qatar over the next 20 years, as the QNDF includes industrial, economic and logistic zones, malls, as well as educational and health services, Al-Rumaihi added.
