Qatar – Mubasher: Qatar Fuel (Qoqod) announced Thursday evening an increase in fuel prices.
Under the new hike, Super (97) now costs QAR1.30/litre, up 30% from its previous price of QAR1/litre, while the price of Premium (90) has gone up 35% from QAR0.85/litre to QAR1.15.
The Qatari government said last month it expects a budget deficit of QAR 46.5 billion ($12.8 billion) in 2016, which will be the first time to see a deficit in 15 years.
