Mubasher: Qatar on Wednesday received the first batch of the 36 French-built Rafale fighter jets from Dassault Aviation.
In 2015, the GCC nation ordered 24 of the fighters from the French manufacturer and added 12 more in 2017, state-run Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Since the GCC blockade in June 2017, the world's richest country per capita signed several military deals including the $12 billion F-15 fighter jet deal with the US.
In June 2017, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and non-GCC member Egypt cut diplomatic, trade and transport ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism. Doha denies the charges forcefully.
