Mubasher: Hassad Food has announced plans to increase its investments in the Sudanese agriculture and food sector with $500 million.
Overall, Qatar is looking to bolster its investments in the African nation to $3 billion from $2 billion.
Qatar’s investments will include the agricultural sector over the next three years by entering into partnerships and joint ventures with a number of local Sudanese entities.
Qatar-based Hassad Food has been present in the Sudanese market since 2012, where it is taking part in planting 260,000 acres in the River Nile state in Sudan and where it is executing a $200 million power project.
