Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) announced adjustments in gasoline prices, as super gasoline rose by 30% to QAR 1.3 per litre, and the premium gasoline jumped 35% to QAR 0.85 a litre as of last Friday.
The state fuel company, listed in Qatar Stock Exchange, said that its clients, owners of private fuel stations, have been informed about the new prices and asked to comply accordingly.
Qatar is the latest Gulf state to raise fuel prices after the decline in global oil prices to the lowest level since 12 years.
Doha said in December that it expects a deficit of QAR 45.6 billion in 2016’s budget, the first shortfall in 15 years.
