Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) plans to build 18 new stations in 2016, as part of its expansion strategy, said Chairman Saoud Al-Thani.

On the sidelines of the general meeting held on Sunday, the Chairman told Mubasher that some stations will be completed in the first quarter of this year.

"We are currently studying to cover all areas in Qatar with our fuel stations in order to be ready two years ahead of the 2022 World Cup," he added.

The ordinary general meeting approved the board's recommendation on paying 82% cash dividends (QAR 8.2 a share) and 8% bonus share distribution (8-for-100).

Meanwhile, the extraordinary general meeting was postponed until 6 Aril.
