Qatar’s benchmark index falls 0.23% in early trading

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari main index kicked of Tuesday’s session in negative territory, as it fell by about 0.23% or around 23 points to the level of 10,374 points in early trading.

Meanwhile, Al Rayan Islamic Index plunged by about 0.52% to 3,825 points, and the All Shares Index plummeted 0.28% to 2,757 points.

Trading value reached about QAR 23.4 million through executing 518 trades on 718,300 shares.

The bourse’s main sectors declined collectively, headed by telecom and services sectors with 1.15% and 1.08% respectively.

Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding was the top performer with a growth of 1.01%, while Almeera Consumer Goods was the lowest share after moving down 3.30%.

The benchmark index closed Monday in green at the level of 10,397.95 points, with an increase of 0.92% or 95.15 points.
